Rocket City FurMeet has a dedicated room for gaming events that is open for the entire convention. Past events include card games, board games, video games of all sorts and even some RPG games.
RCFM hosts several tournaments thoughout the con, so check out programming schedule to see what's coming up!
RCFM LAN Room
Games scheduled:
- Far Cry
- Call of Duty 4
- Quake 3
- Unreal Tournament 2004
- Unreal Tournament 3
- RPG Unreal Tournament 2004
- Supreme commander
Things you need to bring:
- Computer (the whole thing, monitor, keyboard, mouse, power cables, etc..)
- Power Strip ( important)
- Cd’s of the games you want to play.
- Installed Ethernet card (NIC Card).
- 5 feet of Cat5 or 6 cable (the long the better; within reason.).
- Headphones
- O/S discs, drivers and other such media in case you have a failure.
- Hubs or switches (if you have them). Router can only be used if they are not DHCP enabled.
RCFM LAN Room Rules
- You are responsible for your own equipment. RCFM, the hotel, and any individual staff is not responsible for any lost, damaged, or stolen equipment.
- PLEASE SCAN YOUR MACHINE FOR VIRUSES BEFORE COMING TO THE LAN!
- Roughhousing or Horseplay is forbidden.
- Please be respectful of other hotel guests and keep the noise in the room to
a reasonable level at all times. - Installing/uploading to other people’s machines is not allowed without permission from the machines owner.
