Thanks to our generous members, RCFM has given more money to its sponsor charity, Parenting Children of Different Species (PCDS) than last year! Gathering all the money from the Charity Auction, Poker Tournament, KO's mangled haircut, as well as various donation jars throughout the con, we have raised $2,488 this year. (Yeah, okay, I rounded off the nickel. Who was it that gave the nickel anyway?)
Charitable giving is up 13% this year, in spite of the fact that attendance was down 7% from last year (328). I am amazed by the increased generosity and enthusiasm our members continue to have for PCDS and RCFM in general.
