Individual artwork is, for the most part, at the Artist's discretion. There will be some Adult artwork in the Dealers Den, and an Adult section in the Art Show. However, there are certain Artwork Guidelines that must be adhered to, for the safety and protection of RCFM and it's Attendees. Please follow these Artwork Policies and Guidelines when designing or bringing your artwork to RCFM.
What is and is not suitable artwork for the RCFM Art Show, Dealers Den and Charity Auction will be at the discretion of the Dealers' Den and Art Show staff members. Their individual e-mail addresses are available on the "Meet the Staff" page of this website. If you have any questions regarding your artwork and it's suitability in the RCFM Dealers' Den, Art Show or Charity Auction, please send an e-mail to these RCFM Staff members regarding the artwork in question.
We will do all in our abilities to ensure that no piece of artwork will create problems or complaints that would interrupt or endanger RCFM as a whole, or the personal freedoms or rights of any individual Artist.

- Any artwork may or may not be disallowed for sale or display if it is deemed unsuitable by RCFM Staff, whether or not said artwork applies to any of the Policies or Guidelines described on this page. For the safety and protection of RCFM and it's Attendees, all artwork will be reviewed for suitability before it is displayed or sold at RCFM.
- We will not allow the display or hanging of any artwork which could possibly violate US National Law, Alabama State Law, Madison County Law or Huntsville City Law. This includes (but is not limited to) depictions of illegal drug use, child sexuality, prostitution, or non-consensual sexual images.
- If you are uncertain of the allowable nature of any of your artwork, please verify an artwork's suitability with the Dealers' Den or Art Show staff members before bringing your artwork to RCFM or offering to display the artwork in question.
- The Dealers' Den or Art Show staff members, or one of their appointed representatives, may request that you refrain from displaying or offering for sale any individual piece of artwork, regardless of previous acceptance. Failure to comply with these requests is a violation of the convention Policies and Rules and could result in badge removal and expulsion from the convention.
- Excessive violence or cruelty (even in a non-sexual context) will be considered in violation of the Guidelines. Violence in general is allowable to a reasonable degree, including blood, gore or hunting. But images glorifying the violence itself, or showing excessive amounts of violence or blood, will be considered inappropriate for display or sale at RCFM. As stated above, if you are in doubt about your artwork, please consult with the Dealers' Den or Art Show staff members, or one of their appointed representatives first.
- As stated before, no depictions of rape or other non-consensual sexual acts will be considered suitable for display or sale. However, violence in combination with sexual content can be a gray area. If the artwork is deemed to be "non-consensual" then it will not be allowed. Bondage or other BDSM themes are allowable, within a consensual context. Consensual sex images of most types are allowable, so long as they are not in conflict with any of the Policies or Guidelines on this page.
- As stated before, no images of child sexuality of any sort will be allowed at RCFM. This is also a gray area, since the actual age of drawn fantasy figures is often not clear. If adult artwork is deemed to represent pedophilia, then it will be considered in violation.
- No bestiality or zoophilia that involves the image of human characters or largely human-like figures will allowed for sale or display at RCFM. This may or may not involve anime catgirls, elves, centaurs, or other mythological characters with a human appearance. Animal figures, or non-morphic (four-legged) images which are not involved with any human image will be allowable. Other species-transcending sexual images will generally be allowed. Any image with a human, or mostly human, character that could constitute a bestial act will not be allowed.
- Toilet images are discouraged, but may or may not be disallowed from sale or display at RCFM. This includes scat images, watersports, adult diapers (in use), vomit, or any other biological substance in prominent display in artwork images or themes. We do not exclude this content outright, and we understand that some images may be fetish-related, but these images will be reviewed by RCFM Staff and if deemed to be unsuitable they will be disallowed. (In other words, please use your common sense and discretion to prevent your artwork from being rejected for sale or display.)
- Any images that idolize or glorify bigotry, racial prejudice, societal exclusion or hate-crimes will be deemed inappropriate and may be excluded from sale or display at RCFM. It is a fine line whether said artwork may be condemning, glorifying, or simply displaying, such themes. Therefore it will be at the discretion of the Dealers' Den or Art Show staff members, or one of their appointed representatives, whether or not said artwork is suitable for display or sale at RCFM.

Please keep in mind that we will make all reasonable attempts to adhere to Local, State and National Law in all of the above considerations when reviewing any artwork that will be displayed or sold at RCFM. If there is any chance that any individual piece of artwork could create a problem or dispute, then that piece of artwork will not be allowed for display or sale at RCFM. We do this to ensure the continued display and sale of artwork for all years that RCFM is in operation. We do not do this for any personal reasons or discrimination of any particular artwork theme. It is intended solely for the purpose and attempt of ensuring that all artwork sold or displayed at RCFM complies with any and all laws that apply to any such artwork.
